Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of IT functions, monitoring computer systems, and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications, ensuring optimal workstation performance for all users.
• Provide prompt technical support, assisting users with troubleshooting and resolving diverse computer-related issues.
• Conduct regular system diagnostics and updates; recommend hardware and software enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
• Manage data backups, disaster recovery operations, and maintain network security protocols.
• Oversee and streamline office IT systems including employee timesheet platforms, telecommunication setups, and other routine software applications.
• Evaluate and recommend user-friendly devices and applications suitable for both office and field environments.
• Train staff on new technologies and system functionalities to enhance productivity.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of the company website.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or IT Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional IT service experience, including proficiency with SQL, Windows server environments, MikroTik routers, Network+, SSRS reporting, and TFS.
• Solid experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in web design and development, with a focus on asp.net, C#, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, .NET framework, and LINQ.
• Willingness to travel to other company office locations occasionally (approximately 1-2 days per month).

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to obtain Wisconsin DOT Highway Technician Certification and additional relevant certifications within 12 months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and applicable computer applications.
• Physical ability to navigate and inspect rough terrain.
• Willingness to travel to job sites across Wisconsin and Illinois, with occasional overnight stays (1-4 nights per week depending on project location).

Position Opening: Transportation Project Manager at CEP Engineering

Job Purpose:

CEP Engineering is seeking a seasoned Transportation Project Manager specializing in WisDOT Design Projects. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience utilizing the WisDOT Facilities Development Manual for preparing transportation design plans and specifications. The primary role is to provide expert technical advice, effectively manage projects, and lead project teams that deliver timely and profitable results. Additionally, the role involves cultivating client relationships and securing project work in alignment with regional marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage project teams focused on the design and development of transportation projects.
• Prepare detailed proposals, define the scope of work, and estimate the time and expenses required to complete projects.
• Engage in client meetings, including proposal presentations and interviews.
• Select and manage the project team in collaboration with clients.
• Conduct complex design calculations as required and oversee major project design decisions.
• Assign responsibilities within the project team, oversee progress, and answer technical inquiries.
• Maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure the accuracy of work and adherence to QA/QC procedures.
