• Perform construction administration duties on Construction projects
• Work from detailed construction documents
• Learn and keep abreast of the latest WisDOT construction standards and procedures
• Occasionally perform quality reviews of drawings
• Provide strong and confident leadership
• Evaluate and responds to technical inquiries from inspectors, consulting engineers, developers, and contractors.
• Work effectively in an empowered team environment
• Communicate well with coworkers
• Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with project engineers and contractors
• Ensure adherence to specifications per client or project requirements
• Assist field personnel in survey activities as needed
• Conform to CEP professional ethical standards

• Roadway Construction inspection /administration with Bridge rehabs, Bridge replacements and interchange/ramp construction is preferred.
• HTCP Certifications or the ability to obtain certifications through the Highway Technician Certification Program
• Pursue and/or achieve certification/licensure as appropriate to specialty
• Must have a good understanding of geometry and trigonometry and computer applications
• Be able to walk and climb over rough terrain
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Other Desirable Skills:
• Training or experience in Microsoft Office
• Training or experience in Civil 3D
• Training or experience in construction management applications
• Transportation design experience, is a plus
