CEP Engineering is looking for an IT Support Technician for its Madison, WI location.

Job Title: IT Support Technician
Hours: Mondays-Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Take the lead on electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming for a civil engineering consulting company.
• Monitor day-to-day office’s computer and IT operations.
• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and software/applications for users.
• Provide users with technical support and troubleshooting for computer problems, both hardware and software problems.
• Check hardware and software requirements, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Evaluate or recommend alternative hardware or software that will meet company’s needs.
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Design, configure and test computer hardware, networking software and operating systems software.
• Monitor and maintain office programs such as employee timesheet platforms, telephone setups, etc.
• Monitor and maintain applications, virus protection and network functions.
• Recommend devices and/or applications that are easy to use and appropriate for job sites.
• Evaluate computer and other technology equipment performance records. Make recommendations regarding repair and/or replacement.
• Train employees on computer and software system usage
• Assist with website development.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or IT Engineering
• 3 years of experience in IT Services
• 3 years of experience working with SQL, Windows server, MikroTik router, network+, SSRS reporting, TFS
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office
• 6 months of experience in designing, coding, and modifying websites
• 6 months of experience with following software: asp.net, c#, CSS, HTML, java script, .net framework and LINQ
• Travel Required to other company office locations as necessary (maybe 1-2 days/month)

CEP Engineering is looking for a Civil Engineering Technician for its Madison, WI office.

Job Title: Civil Engineering Technician
Hours: Mondays-Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Madison, Wisconsin

The position will have the following responsibilities:

• Read and review blueprints and specifications
• Perform construction administration duties on Construction projects
• Draft drawings and designs for projects that meet specifications required by the client
• Inspect job sites, detect design errors or inconsistencies, ensure designs conform to specs and applicable codes
• Evaluate and responds to technical inquiries from inspectors, consulting engineers, developers, and contractors.
• Help to ensure that project construction conforms to design specifications and applicable codes.
• Help testing with the construction materials.
• Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with project engineers and contractors
• Assist field personnel in survey activities as needed
• Prepare reports and document project activities and data
• Prepare reports on project costs, hours and materials

Job Requirements:

• Associates degree in Architecture or Architecture Design
• 5 years experience in Construction Project Inspection or Management of roadway projects, bridge construction and building construction
• 5 years experience as design technician in architectural engineering projects
• 5 years experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Ability to obtain Wisconsin DOT Highway Technician Certification, Level 1 Certifications and trainings as related to construction inspection/administration within 12 months of hiring. Other certificates may be needed based on project requirements.
• Must have a good understanding of geometry and trigonometry and computer applications
• Be able to walk and climb over rough terrain
• Travel to job sites required in Wisconsin and Illinois. Ability to stay overnight (1-4 nights/week) depending on project location.

CEP Engineering is looking to hire a Civil Engineer – PE, who is dedicated to working and motivated for growth and advancement to manage our Construction department in Madison, Wisconsin. CEP engineering as a DBE company in Wisconsin and in Illinois has a lot of opportunities for projects and the potential for growth.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Perform construction administration duties on Construction projects
• Work from detailed construction documents
• Learn and keep abreast of the latest WisDOT construction standards and procedures
• Occasionally perform quality reviews of drawings
• Provide strong and confident leadership
• Evaluate and responds to technical inquiries from inspectors, consulting engineers, developers, and contractors.
• Work effectively in an empowered team environment
• Communicate well with coworkers

Requirements:
• Wisconsin Professional Engineering License is required
• Construction management/inspection experience
• Must be well versed on WisDOT construction processes
• WisDOT construction finals process, including materials, item record accounts, change orders and contract modifications experience
• 6+ years’ experience on Wisconsin DOT construction inspection/administration (Required)
• Roadway Construction inspection /administration with Bridge rehabs, Bridge replacements and interchange/ramp construction is preferred.
• HTCP Certifications or the ability to obtain certifications through the Highway Technician Certification Program
• Pursue and/or achieve certification/licensure as appropriate to specialty
• Must have a good understanding of geometry and trigonometry and computer applications
• Be able to walk and climb over rough terrain
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Other Desirable Skills:
• Training or experience in Microsoft Office
• Training or experience in Civil 3D
• Training or experience in construction management applications
• Transportation design experience, is a plus
